Rose "Rosie" M. Birch, 85, of Bible Grove, Illinois, passed away peacefully at 11:43 am Monday, November 18, 2024, at the Lakeland Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Effingham, Illinois, with her loving family by her side.
Rose was born on November 20, 1938, in Bible Grove to Walter and Amanda (Storck) Landwehr. She was united in marriage to Darrel Max Birch on November 8, 1958, at the St. Paul's United Church of Christ, and they shared 44 years of marriage before he preceded her in death on October 15, 2003.
Rose, better known as Rosie, dedicated her life to the service of others, as a school bus driver for North Clay School for over 30 years retiring in 2001. She found joy in the simple things in life, like helping her father on the farm and then later helping her late husband, Darrel, with the farm, mowing her yard, and hosting Sunday family dinners at her home. These gatherings were a testament to her love for her family and her dedication to keeping them close.
