Cathy June Roley, 70, of Louisville passed away peacefully at 12:20 pm, Saturday, September 9, 2023 at the HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham.
She was born on July 7, 1953, in Miami, Florida, the daughter of Herman L. and Patty Louise (Stanley) Fulk. Cathy married Robert "Bob" Roley on April 13, 1974 at the Ingraham Christian Church and they shared 49 years of marriage.
Cathy was a woman of many talents and interests. In her younger years, she had a passion for sewing and could make anything from simple garments to wedding dresses. As she got older, she developed a love for the outdoors. She spent many happy hours camping, water skiing, and fishing, enjoying the beauty and tranquility of nature. When she was at home, she loved to work in her garden, tending to her plants and flowers with great care and attention. Cathy's green thumb was well-known, and her garden was a reflection of her love for life and nature.
