Rondle Allan Cowger, 92, of Ingraham, Illinois passed away at 6:21 am Friday, January 12, 2024 at the Flora Gardens Care Center in Flora, Illinois.
Rondle was born on September 25, 1931 in Rural Jasper County, Illinois the son of Laurence H. and Olga (Beckwith) Cowger.
Rondle served his Country Honorably in the United States Army from 1951 to 1953 during the Korean War.
Rondle married Mabel Kepley on February 12, 1955 and they shared nearly 69 years of marriage. He drove a school bus for the Ingraham Grade School. He also helped build, and later managed the Kennedy Grain Elevator in Ingraham, where he retired from in March of 1981. Rondle then drove a truck for Cox Brothers Trucking of Newton for 20 years. While working his full-time jobs he also was a farmer and raised livestock.
Rondle is survived by his wife: Mabel Cowger; a son: Gordon (Vickey) Cowger of Teutopolis; daughter: Laural (Brett) Ackerman of Newton; daughter-in-law: Glenda Cowger of Wheeler; grandchildren: Darlene Coffi
